According to the order, the committee will continue to oversee the affairs of A.P. MARKFED until the elections are conducted and the elected Managing Committee takes charge, or until further government orders, whichever occurs earlier.
The extension has been granted by exempting the committee from the provisions of Section 32(7)(a) of the Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1964. The government exercised its powers under Section 123 of the Act to continue the existing arrangement.
The decision follows a report submitted by the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Andhra Pradesh, Guntur, recommending continuation of the committee.
The concerned authorities have been directed to take the necessary steps to ensure the continued functioning and administration of A.P. MARKFED during the extended period.
The extension will remain in effect until April 4, 2027, unless the elected Managing Committee assumes charge earlier or the government issues further directions.
