Government committed to making the cooperative sector more transparent, digital and farmer-friendly: Minister Kedar Kashyap

In the meeting, Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap directed to activate the working system of Dairy and Fisheries Societies in Chhattisgarh. He told the officials that Milk Societies in Chhattisgarh should prepare an action plan under AOU with National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for milk production and processing.Digitization and Transparency: Instructions were given to expedite 100% computerization of PACS and audit process so that the financial system remains completely transparent.Farmer Welfare and Loan-Fertilizer Distribution: Instructions were given to ensure interest subsidy on short term agricultural loans, timely distribution of fertilizers (fertilizers), seeds and loans. A target of distributing agricultural loans worth ₹8,800 crore to the state's farmers through cooperative banks for the current Kharif season 2026 has been set. Against this, loans worth ₹6,932 crore have been distributed to over 1.4 million farmers so far, representing 79 percent of the target. Minister Kashyap directed officials to ensure 100 percent agricultural loan distribution.Expansion of banking facilities: Emphasis was placed on expanding Common Service Centers (CSCs) in rural areas and making digital banking accessible by increasing the availability of micro ATMs.Warehouse construction and newly formed PACS: Warehouse construction in 100 societies and construction works approved under the RIDF scheme were reviewed. Instructions were also given for the smooth functioning of the 515 newly formed PACS. The meeting reported the completion of construction of 712 warehouses out of the 725 allocated under the RAIDF. Officials were instructed to complete the construction of the remaining 13 warehouses soon. Strict instructions were issued forthe prompt resolution of public complaints and cases registered on the e-office CM Helpline, timely submission of replies in court cases, and ensuring e-office and Aadhaar-based attendance in offices.Final resolution of paddy procurement: Orders were given to quickly and transparently resolve the remaining paddy at paddy procurement centers.At the end of the meeting, Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap directed all departmental officials to ensure prompt, accountable, and complete transparency in ensuring the benefits of government schemes reach farmers and common citizens associated with the cooperative sector.On this occasion, Secretary Cooperation Dr. C.R.
