Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has reviewed pending infrastructure and administrative matters related to Venkateshwara Cooperative Power and Agro Processing Ltd., located at Ajang-Malegaon in Nashik district, with the aim of facilitating the project’s progress.
A meeting was convened at Mantralaya in Mumbai to discuss three key issues: the commencement of the approved water supply, provision of the required electricity connection, and extension of the project’s lease period to 33 years.
The discussions centred on addressing these pending requirements, which are considered important for the smooth operation and further development of the cooperative agro-processing initiative.
Former Member of Parliament Dr. Vikas Mahatme and officials from the relevant government departments attended the meeting.
Reliable access to water and electricity, along with a longer lease tenure, could provide the project with greater operational stability and create a more supportive environment for future investment.
The review reflects efforts to resolve outstanding issues affecting the project and advance cooperative-led agricultural processing in Nashik district. Addressing these requirements is expected to be important for strengthening the project’s operational foundation and supporting its future development.
