More Than 1,200 Cooperative Banks Join I4C Cybersecurity Network

New Delhi: More than 1,200 cooperative banks have been onboarded onto the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) platform, marking a step towards strengthening cybersecurity and combating digital financial fraud in the cooperative banking sector.

The Union Ministry of Cooperation announced the development in a recent social media post, stating that the initiative would support efforts to prevent cyber fraud and facilitate swift action against digital banking-related threats.

The onboarding initiative aims to improve coordination in addressing cybercrime-related challenges and strengthen the response mechanism against financial fraud. As digital banking services continue to expand across cooperative institutions, cybersecurity has become an increasingly important area of focus.

The I4C platform provides a coordination framework for addressing cybercrime. Bringing cooperative banks onto the platform is intended to support efforts to identify and respond to digital threats more effectively.

The Ministry described the initiative as a step towards safer banking and enhanced digital security, reiterating its commitment to strengthening the cooperative banking ecosystem.

The development highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity preparedness within cooperative financial institutions. Improved coordination and timely responses to cybercrime threats are expected to support efforts to protect banking operations and safeguard customers against digital financial fraud.
